Ventricular arrhythmia ICD cardioversion in a patient with the compound heterozygotic p.D18fs*13 and p.E168* TRDN mutations. a The left hand box in the upper panel shows the development of increasing ventricular ectopy during a temper tantrum. This deteriorated to a rapid ventricular arrhythmia which degenerated to ventricular fibrillation. The ventricular fibrillation was detected by the implantable defibrillator. b Two shocks were given by the ICD. The first shock (5.1 J) did not terminate the arrhythmia. The second shock (10 J) restored sinus rhythm. Prescribed medications at the time were propranolol (3 × 25 mg/day and flecainide (3 × 25 mg/day)
